Layered vintage Christian Dior nightgowns

I supremely don’t like being overheated and the city for the foreseeable future will be nothing but hot. I also find everyday dresses hard - they’re either too dressy, too beachy, too fashiony or just too not right. Lacy dresses seem to fill the gap. Sure, many look like nightgowns (or actually are nightgowns) but the right shoe balances that out. Most of my shoes are black and that helps anchor an other wise sweet dress. Here are my favorites.

LANEWAY THE LABEL - I wore this during a particular hot day last week (and then to a concert at Radio City) and while walking thru Central Park two ladies said “Now isn’t that a perfect dress for a day like today. Just look at it. Perfect.” Ultimate compliment. It is a bit sheer and you do you but I feel more comfortable with a slip under.
